Our family workshop in Govandi, Mumbai has made jute and cotton bags since 1996. Today BEEL Bags produces a full eco range (natural jute, cotton and canvas, paper, and recycled PET woven from plastic bottles) for brands moving away from single-use plastic.

What eco-friendly materials do you use?

Natural jute, organic cotton and canvas, paper, and recycled PET fabric woven from plastic bottles. We also make reusable non-woven bags, which are recyclable but plastic-based.

Are non-woven bags eco-friendly?

They are reusable and recyclable, which makes them far better than single-use plastic, but non-woven polypropylene is still a plastic and does not biodegrade. For plastic-free bags choose jute, cotton, canvas or paper.
